My Story

Living with mental illness can feel or seem like a curse at times as it can make tasks in your daily life difficult. You may at times struggle with loneliness as others may not fully understand what you are going through mentally and emotionally.

As your therapist my goal is to assist and empower you to address the factors/stressors (e.g., personal, familial/social, spiritual, academic etc.) that you experience as well as introduce and assist you in applying different interventions that will empower you in managing your emotions and reducing the behaviors/symptoms that interfere/impair your daily life functioning. I have provided therapeutic services for individuals (e.g., children, adolescent, young adults and adults) and families. I am certified in the evidence-based practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Manage and Adaptive Practice (MAP). Also, I have experience in case management by linking clients with available resources/referrals that can assist them in managing their circumstances.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies at Biola University and my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pacific Oaks College. My hobbies include: reading, fan fiction writing, anime, video games, and dancing. One of my favorite inspirational quotes is a passage from the from the Bible: “My Grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Mostly gladly, therefore, I will boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell within me. Therefore, I am well content with weakness, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake for when I am weak, then I am strong.” – II Corinthians 12:9-10.
