Selah Youth Therapy for Children & Adolescents Individual | Family Therapy & Parenting Selah Youth is dedicated to provide mental health treatment to children and adolescents, between ages 5 and 17, who struggle with their mental health. Mental disorders can begin in childhood where behavioral and emotional challenges can interfere with their development and cause long term problems if not treated. At SCC, youth and their parents are interviewed to understand the history (e.g. development, family, medical, education) and nature of the problem during the intake evaluation. The evaluation helps to clarify problems on the underlying behaviors and identify strengths and weaknesses. A treatment plan and recommendation is made on the best approach that would help your child promote their wellbeing and foster growth. Step One Contact Selah Counseling Center for a consultation This is a way to gather information, discuss your needs, and match you with the provider that is the best fit for you. Click on Appointment Request, call the office at (626) 515-4202 and press 2, or schedule an appointment for a consultation. Step Two Complete the intake forms (e.g. consent, policies) via the client portal. You will receive an email with access to the client portal. Complete the intake forms in order to schedule your first appointment with a provider; this should take about 15 minutes. Step Three On the day of your appointment, For telehealth appointments: Log in to the telehealth video platform where your session will take place to meet with your provider at the time of your appointment. For in-office appointments: Upon arrival, check in with the receptionist in the lobby. For evening appointments, contact the provider and inform them that you have arrived.
