Using Your Health Insurance for Mental Health Services We understand the importance of mental health care and strive to provide accessible services to those in need. If you're considering seeking therapy or counseling with us, you'll be pleased to know that we accept various health insurance plans to help alleviate the financial burden associated with mental health treatment. Here's a step-by-step guide to using your health insurance for mental health services at Selah Counseling Center: 1. Check Your Insurance Coverage: Before scheduling an appointment, it's essential to verify if your therapist at Selah Counseling Center is within your insurance network. When working with an associate therapist, the supervising licensed clinician would be the therapist in network with the insurance. Contact your insurance provider or check their website to review your mental health benefits, including coverage for therapy sessions, copays, deductibles, and any limitations or restrictions. 2. Schedule an Appointment: Once you've confirmed that your therapist at Selah Counseling Center is covered by your insurance, you can schedule your first appointment. You can do this by calling our office or using our online appointment scheduling system. 3. Provide Insurance Information & Complete Intake Forms: During the appointment scheduling process, you'll be asked to provide information and your insurance. This typically includes your insurance policy number, group number, and the name of the insured individual (if different from yourself). Complete all the intake forms and enter a credit card on file on the client portal. Upload your insurance card (front & back) through the client portal or email to admin@selahcounselingcenter.com. 4. Attend Your Appointment: During your initial session, you'll meet with your therapist to discuss your concerns, goals, and treatment plan. Rest assured that our team is committed to providing compassionate and confidential care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. 5. Billing and Claims Processing: After each session, Selah Counseling Center will submit a claim to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be responsible for paying a copayment, coinsurance, or meeting your deductible before your insurance covers the remaining costs. Our billing department will assist you in navigating the insurance process and addressing any billing inquiries or concerns you may have. 6. Ongoing Support and Care: Mental health treatment is often a journey, and our team at Selah Counseling Center is here to support you every step of the way. Whether you attend individual therapy sessions, group counseling, or specialized programs, we're dedicated to helping you achieve emotional well-being and personal growth. Selah Youth is therapy for children and adolescents. Selah Youth Therapy for Children & Adolescents Individual | Family Therapy & Parenting Selah Youth is dedicated to provide mental health treatment to children and adolescents, between ages 5 and 17, who struggle with their mental health. Mental disorders can begin in childhood where behavioral and emotional challenges can interfere with their development and cause long term problems if not treated. A treatment plan and recommendation is made on the best approach that would help your child promote their wellbeing and foster growth. Therapy for children includes parent involvement and learning strategies that are effective in treating the condition or problem. During sessions, the therapist may include play, games, arts & crafts, stories, workbooks, and at times give parents and their children tools to practice at home during the week.
